This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, and what you can do about it. We've kept it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, email privacy@crftdstudios.xyz.
Who we are
CRFTD STUDIOS LTD ("CRFTD Studios", "we") is a software studio. We're registered in England and Wales, company no. 17090422, and our registered office is Unit 17, Orbital 25 Business Park, Dwight Road, Watford, WD18 9DA.
We decide how and why your data is used, which makes us the "controller" under UK data protection law. For anything about your data, contact privacy@crftdstudios.xyz. For anything else, it's hello@crftdstudios.xyz.
What we collect
- Business contact details from public sources. Names, job titles, work email addresses, phone numbers and company details we find on Companies House, company websites and LinkedIn.
- What you tell us. Anything you share when you book a call, on the call itself, or by email, such as how your business runs today and what you need built.
- Booking details. When you book a call, your name, email address and the time you picked.
- Website data. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies on this website. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure. The booking calendar is provided by our booking tool, which may set its own cookies when you use it.
Why we use it
- To contact businesses about our services. We do this under "legitimate interests": we only contact people in their business role, about software that's relevant to their business, and we stop as soon as they ask.
- To deliver projects. When you hire us, we use your details to deliver the work, send updates and invoices, and support what we build. We do this because we have a contract with you.
- To meet our legal duties, such as keeping financial records.
We never sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Opting out
Don't want to hear from us? Reply "unsubscribe" to any email, or email privacy@crftdstudios.xyz. We stop straight away. We then keep your email address (or your company's domain) on a suppression list, so we don't contact you again by mistake. That list holds only what we need to recognise you.
How long we keep it
- People we've contacted about our services: up to 2 years after we were last in touch, then we delete it.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, then 6 years after the contract ends, because UK tax and company law asks us to keep those records.
- The suppression list: for as long as we contact businesses, so your opt-out keeps working.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the business, and only what each one needs. They work on our instructions and must keep your data safe:
- Email providers, for sending and receiving email
- Our booking tool and video calling, for Systems Map calls
- Website hosting and our database provider, for this site and our client portal
- Payment processing, for client invoices
- Our accountant, for financial records
Some of these providers store data outside the UK. When they do, we use providers covered by UK adequacy rules or the standard contract terms approved in the UK, so your data gets the same protection.
We'll also share data if the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- See the data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your data
- Stop using your data, including for contacting you about our services

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
